Terms of Use

Effective October 25, 2026

The short version: Firsts suggests small new things to try; you decide what to do and stay safe doing it. Your firsts belong to you. Be kind in friends, groups and community lists. Pro is a subscription billed by Apple that you can cancel anytime. You must be 18 or older.

Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Northwest Ag Technologies, L.L.C., which makes Firsts through its studio Verde House ("we," "us"). They cover the Firsts app, the website at tryfirsts.com and the pages it links to (together, "Firsts"). By using Firsts you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information. If you don't agree, please don't use Firsts.

Who can use Firsts

You must be at least 18 years old, and able to agree to these terms where you live. Firsts is a personal app; please don't use it for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Your account

Firsts works without signing up: the first time you open it, it creates an account just for your phone. You can back it up with Sign in with Apple (or email, where offered) so you can restore it later. You're responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your Apple ID or email secure. If you never back up and you delete the app or lose your phone, we can't recover your firsts.

You can delete your account anytime in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account). What happens to your data then is described in the Privacy Policy.

Trying firsts safely

Firsts suggests activities: daily firsts, list items, "Never have I ever" cards, and lists or challenges made by other people. They're ideas, not instructions. You decide whether and how to do any of them, and you're responsible for doing them safely and legally.

To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for injury, loss or damage that comes from activities you choose to do, places you visit, or people you meet.

Firsts Pro

The daily first, logging, your timeline, share cards, weekly recaps, friends, groups and backup are free. Firsts Pro is an optional subscription that adds more lists, themes, stats and other features described in the app.

TestFlight and other test versions of Firsts may unlock Pro features for testing. That access ends when the test does.

Your content

Your firsts, photos, notes, lists, plans and messages are yours. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display them only as needed to run Firsts for you: to back them up, sync them, and show them to the people you choose (for example, your friends, a group you share to, people you send a link to, or everyone, for a list you publish to the community). This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other people already saved (such as a community list someone saved) or that we must keep by law.

Only post content you have the right to share, and make sure it follows the rules below. You're responsible for what you post.

Friends, groups and community

Friends, groups, plan invites, challenges and community lists let you share with other people. To keep Firsts a kind and safe place, don't:

You can block anyone and report people, firsts, photos and lists in the app. We review reports, hide reported content automatically after several reports, and may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, with or without notice. See the community guidelines. We aren't responsible for what other people post, but we act on what we're told about.

Our app

Firsts, including its design, prompts, lists, cards, artwork, themes and the name and logo "firsts!", belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and Apple's rules. You may share share cards and links the app makes for you. Please don't copy, sell or republish our content or the app itself.

If you send us feedback or ideas, we can use them freely without owing you anything.

Other services

Firsts relies on other services, such as Apple (Sign in with Apple, payments, and the App Store), the U.S. National Weather Service (for the Weather theme), and the apps you share to. Their own terms and policies apply to your use of them, and we aren't responsible for them. Links to other websites are for convenience.

Ending your use

You can stop using Firsts and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we have to by law, or if we stop offering Firsts; when we can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to save your firsts. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a Pro subscription; cancel it with Apple. Sections that by their nature should continue (like your content license ending, disclaimers, limits on liability and disputes) continue after your use ends.

Disclaimers

We work hard on Firsts, but it's provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We don't promise that Firsts will be uninterrupted or error-free, that content (including facts, costs, times and places) is accurate or current, or that your data will never be lost. Back up your account to protect your firsts.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Firsts or any activity you do because of it. Our total liability for any claim about Firsts is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Firsts in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you; nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

If you use Firsts in a way that breaks these terms or the law and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, as far as the law allows.

Disputes

If something goes wrong, please email us first at software@nwagtech.com; most problems can be fixed quickly. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Iowa, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

Apple terms

If you got Firsts from Apple's App Store:

Changes

We may update these terms as Firsts changes. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Firsts after that, you accept the updated terms.
